What Causes Uncomfortable Feeling In Chest And Burping?

Hi.. This morning I had my breakfast and I did not have access to water while eating. I had trouble in swallowing and needed water. But since I did not have water I just managed to eat and complete the breakfast. I came to room after 15 mins and drink water. But since then I am feeling uncomfortable near my chest and having frequent burps.

Hello
I appreciate your concern
This could be due to Aerophagia (swallowing of air) may be due to smoking, alcohol, ill fitting denture or consumption of carbonated drinks
Other possibility is
Acid peptic disease or dyspepsia

Please rule out the above mentioned causes of Aerophagia
if it persists even after that than.please consult a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy
You may need anti acidity medicines like PPI group as pantoprazole and antacids
Avoid smoking and alcohol
Avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food
Have fresh fruits and fruit juices as well as lemon water
Hope this helps you
follow up questions are most welcome
Best wishes
