Hello, I am a 27yo male that is 6'0'' and 160lbs. I exercise regularly and am in pretty good shape. I recently had blood work done and had an elevated TSH of 4.98. My T4 level was normal at 1.36 and my TPO antibody level was normal at 12.0. I have no symptoms of hypothyroidism. I am not fatigued or tired, have trouble gaining weight, not constipated, and have anxiety. I do not have a goiter. I seem to have opposite symptoms of hypothyroidism. I'm supposed to have levels drawn again in three months. Is this something to worry about? I'm hoping that this level is a false reading. Thank you for your insight.

Continue exercising and learn to relax your mind. Anxiety is one possible reason for not being able to gain weight. Anxious people have trouble gaining weight.
