What Causes Tremors In The Hands?

I m 55yo male in good shape and mind, body. Over the last several(maybe2) years have notice my hands shaking. I changed doctors be cause he said it was my cholesterol was high and my high bp. I went to my new doctor and she exam me said she would like to run another blood test because it could also be from a hyperthyroid condition. I used to drink between 6 to 8 glasses of iced tea a day but recently stop to see if that was the cause. Little change, she also wants to check with a neurologist. Sorry about the spelling.

By comparison, people with Parkinson’s disease typically experience a hand tremor when their muscles are at rest and see a reduction in the tremor when their muscles are in use. Shaky hands can also be caused by:

seizure
overactive thyroid
cerebellar disease
Huntington’s disease
medication side effects
caffeine overdose
alcohol abuse or addiction
anxiety
low blood sugar
so get your all test related to these
