What Causes Transparent Goo Blown Out Of Nose Along With Sinus Congestion?

I have a cold with sinus congestion & sneezing. I've had it 36 hours & it is accompanied by a slightly elevated temperature. This afternoon I sneezed & discovered a transparent goo like rubber cement had been blasted from my nostrils. I suspect it is the result of the sinus infection.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that cold, sinus congestion and sneezing seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and along with it there is infection in the sinuses leading to accumulation of infected mucous and the goo like discharge seems to be due to sinus infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS View or MRI scan of the sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, oral decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, mucolytics like ambroxol and nasal decongestant spray like Otrivin or Nasivion..
You can be advised to do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised to avoid spicy and chilled foods..
