Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain pain in tooth that is radiating till the ear can be due to causes like tooth decay, deep
gum infection,
Cracked tooth syndrome etc..
At times if the tooth is appearing intact and no
nerve damage is ruled out then the most probable cause for pain can be Cracked tooth in which there is a thin crack in the tooth that is extending from the crown to the deep portion towards the nerve leading to pain and at times the diagnosis is missed in the
x ray..
But pain is an abnormal finding and is clear indication of some problem related to tooth..
I would therefore suggest you to consult an Endodontist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray by changing angulations and repeating multiple x rays can help in looking for the exact cause of the problem and treatment can be done accordingly..
Many a times if tooth is in condition to be saved
Root canal treatment can help in resolving pain and saving the tooth also..
In case of deep cracks extraction must be needed..
As of now you can take painkillers like
Ibuprofen if pain is moderate while
Tramadol can be taken only if pain is very severe..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
