What Causes Tooth Pain And Burning Sensation On The Roof Of The Mouth?
YuuI have extreme pain on the back of my capped front tooth. It hurts a lot when I bite down but I have no sensitivity to hot or cold things. This pain occurred suddenly after a burning sensation on the roof of my mouth. I also had a filling on the back of the tooth in April. What could be wrong?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tooth pain and burning sensation on the roof of the mouth which seems to be due to high contact points after filling of tooth and whenever both teeth meet during biting of food it leads to pain and sharp edges causes burning sensation pain.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Do not eat hard food from that side and try to eat from other side.
Visit dentist once and he/she may examine physically and order X-ray to rule out other cause like residual infection and can trim off sharp edges and if it is due to residual infection filling needs to be redone.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
