What Causes Tiredness And Increased Body Temperature While On Lisinopril?

I am taking Lisinopril 10/121.5 for high blood pressure. I farm and spend long hours in the hot arkansas sun. I seem to get very hot qucikly while working, and tire easily. i attributed this to age (67) but could this be a side effect of the medication?

Hi Sir,
Thank you for asking

Lisinopril may cause dizziness, light-headedness, sweating, unusual tiredness or weakness, fainting.
Hot weather expecially, exercise, or fever may increase these effects.
To prevent them:
1. sit up or stand slowly, especially in the morning.
2.Sit or lie down at the first sign of any of these effects.

So I recommend you to work early in the morning and not to stay long under high temperatures or to consult with your doctor in order to change your medication.

Hope this was helpful to you,
Regards,
Dr. Ermira Biu
