Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tiny Red Bumps In The Chest, Back And Neck?
I have a skin rash on my chest and back, from the top chest to cleavage area tiny red bumps that are red and more sensitive when first exiting shower rash shows up more when just out of water. Calmer during the day but still there. First noticed when showering and felt bumps on my skin in chest area. I do feel some behind my neck on top part of my back, but mostly on front chest..
As the bumps and rashes ar e more prominent after taking bath, then there is a high possibility that you are getting an allergic reaction to any of the soaps, detergents or other things like body shampoo, hair shampoo etc that you are using..
If there is any chemical treatment of water then it can also be related to it..
So my suggestion is to first of all start using hypoallergic soaps and detergents and see if the reaction subsides..
You can also get an Allergy test done to confirm the exact cause of the reaction and they you can avoid using the same..
For now you can take anti allergics like Benadryl, Loratidine etc and apply calamine loton to soothe the skin. You can also do cool compresses for relief..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
