What Causes Tinnitus While Suffering From Bronchitis?

I recently had bronchitis and took z-pack a cough syrup with codiene and a steroid. in the last 2 weeks I have almost a water sound in my ear similar to a gum band sound sometimes I don t notice it and other times I do when I move my head. I had a couple times getting up in a hurry I kind of felt off balance but not since the start of this odd sound. I have not been swiming, shower and wash my hair daily but never had an issue like this. I even notice an odd sound if I bite down on my teeth like my jaw is numb for dental work.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you have bronchitis or any throat infection, it will most probably spread to your ear so it might be possible that you may have an inner ear infection so mild that there will be no pus discharge, but there may be tinnitus that's what odd sound you are hearing. Either you can take oral antibiotics or ear drops.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat
