What Causes Tinnitus After Using A Wax Removal Kit?

Five years ago my doc advised me I had "concrete" in my ears. He recommended a wax removal kit from the drugstore. This kit used a small bulb to spray water into the ear. I found it's use very messy so I switched to a small syringe that I had. I was able to push water into my ears very forcefully. Ever since then whenever I close both eyes at the same time I get what feels like a pressure change in my ears accompanied by a whooshing sound. This does not occur if I close one eye at a time. Also, when rising in the morning I get a sound in my ears like water swirling in a jar. This stops after I have been upright for a while. I have had tinnitus for over 15 years but this is fairly new and seems to have been caused by injecting water under high pressure into my ears. Any idea what I have done?

As per your complain it seems that wooshing sounds inside the ear along with feeing of pressure changes, clogging and feeling of water inside the ears seems to be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction of fluid accumulation behind the eardrum..
Consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy of ears can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised oral decongestants like Phenylephrine and nasal decongestant containing Xylometazoline..
In case if there is no resolution surgical treatment by putting incision in ear drum and draining of fluids along with placement of Pressure Equalization tubes to ease drainage and maintain pressure across the eardrum can relieve..
