What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Inner Thigh?

Is it normal to have a warm tingling sensation in the inner thigh for men? Sometimes I have to check myself because it feels like I released my bladder when I really did not. Get the sensation of warm urine running along my inner thigh. Is this something I need to be concerned with. I am a white male, age 53, 190 lbs.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The tingling sensation may be due to neuropathy. This refers to abnormal function of the nerves.

It can be due to different possible causes such as: (a) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(b)diabetes
(C)trauma
(d)infection such as shingles
(e)liver or kidney disease
(f)exposure to toxins
(g)idiopathic- cause is not found
(h)some hormonal conditions
(i)nerve conditions such as stroke, ms

If it continues or worsens, your doctor can assess you to determine the cause.
This would require physical examination and blood tests such as screening for diabetes, liver or kidney disease, vitamin b12 or folate levels.

There are medications that can help if it is very bothersome.

I hope this helps
