What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Thigh When Diagnosed With Achilles Tear?

Hello. I have been diagnosed with a right Achillies tear (less than 50%) Surgery is scheduled for 12/22. In the interim, I have severe pain behind my right knee and now tingling in my right thigh at night. I am unable to extend my right leg making it difficult to sleep. The tingling is something new. The pain behind my right leg/knee is getting worse. What s your thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to thigh misuse when you have torn Achilles's. Take magnesium and NSAID, and apply analgesic cream locally until you get operated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
