What Causes Tingling Sensation In Right Abdomen While Having Non Specific CTD?

I have numbness and tingling in my mid right abdominal area. I was previously diagnosed with scleroderma, but after my old rheumatologist retired, my new dr. changed my diagnosis to a non specific connective tissue disorder. Is the numbness and tingling something I should seek treatment for right away or is it safe to wait until my next appointment, in four months, to discuss it with my dr?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the altered sensation is severe or persistent or you are very concerned then you can make alternative arrangements to be seen sooner. Four months may be too long for an assessment

Altered sensation may be due to neuropathy which refers to abnormal function of the nerves.
This may be due to different possible causes such as: (a)diabetes
(b)trauma to the nerves eg compression of nerves in the spine, fracture etc
(c)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(d)side effect of medication
(e)hormonal or autoimmune disease so it is possible that your condition is contributing
(f)liver or kidney disease
(g)neurological conditions such as ms or stroke
(h)in some cases the cause is not known- idiopathic

I hope this helps
