We did a blood drive at nursing school yesterday, after I donated I started feeling faint they had me sit and eat cookies drink fluids etc. I lied down for a while and was "ok" aside from my calf muscles being tight and cramping up, i was fine last night but today when I woke up my whole body hurt from my muscles cramping up, my fingers were tingling , my whole body was hot and my vision was a little fuzzy. I called my general physician and they said to have soup or some sort of fluids with salt in it, along with a banana for the potassium. I did all this, and I'm still not feeling well, my left leg is still tingling from my toes all the way up to my hip, and I still have the "hungover" sensation. Should I drink gatorade and not worry because it will subside or do I need IV fluids?
