What Causes Tingling Sensation And Swollen Veins In The Arm?

My right arm will tingle and then a blood vessel becomes engorged. Rubbing the forearm makes it stop. It is occurring quite frequently, every 5 or so minutes . My health is fine - no diabetes, blood pressure normal. I have osteopenia with a spinal curvature due to kyphosis. Guess I am concerned about possible nerve damage because several weeks ago I had a painful shoulder and arm for a week. Painful to sleep and drive a car. However, a two day round of Aleve cleared it up, so I assume it was an inflamed area somewhere. What goes?
