What Causes Tingling On The Face After Dental Filling?
My daughter, 35 years old, had a very bad toothache. She went to the dentist about a week ago. He said she might need root canal work, but before doing a root canal, he told her the tooth looks like a bad cavity. He drilled and applied an anesthetic filling. Today she felt tingling on that side of her face up toward her eye. Could this be related?
As per your complain yes, tingling sensation on face can be related to the decayed tooth as the treatment is not yet completely done and nerve can get irritated causing radiating pain and tingling radiating to the eye..
So my suggestion is to get the Root Canal Treatment done as soon as possible and in case if still the tingling sensation continue then can be related to any disturbance related to Trigeminal nerve that is nerve of face and supplies sensations to face..
In that case an MRI Scan can be advised for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. But first of all get the tooth treatment done as soon as possible and also take a combination of antibiotics and painkillers.. Do cool compresses over cheeks..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
