What Causes Tingling In Fingers And Painful Knuckles?
About a year ago I would wake occasionally with tingling in my last two fingers on the right side. Gradually became more and more often and progressed to my left hand also. Now the 3 fingers of each hand are totally numb, stiff, painful to move. Has now progressed to pain in all my knuckles. Ive been told I could be lying on a nerve at night, but I wake on my back every morning. It takes about 5 mins to move them. If there were ever a fire, I wouldn t even be able to turn the doorknob. I know its not lying on a nerve. Are there any tests to see if its Arthritis?
Xrays and blood tests can be done to determine if arthritis is present and the type. In general anti inflammatory pain medications are used for most types of arthritis.
IF these are not effective for you then stronger medication is also available as well. Depending on the type of arthritis , additional medication may also be needed.
I hope this helps
