What Causes Tingling And Numbness On Left Side Of Foot?

I woke up this morning with a slight tingling or numbness on my left side from my foot up thru the leg, hand up thru the shoulder and the left side of my face. I can still type and talk but walking is not normal. Is this like a pinched nerve or something else?

Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

It looks like some dermatomal or nerve damage, that is causing parestheisas. You have good strength of muscles, you may talk and type, this is a good sign. But abnormal walking points towards some seriousness of the disease. It may be due to Cerebellum disorder. You need to consult a Neurologist right away to rule out the cause of the disease. It may also be due to GB syndrome, that is also a nerve problem starting from peripheral parts of body and advances to the center. But that is usually bilaterally distributed.

Make an appointment with your Neurologist for complete evaluation and treatment. He is trained to treat such patients successfully.

Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions in future, feel free to contact me anytime. In the start of your question write my name, and I will get back to you in no time. If satisfied, please click you found it helpful.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
