What Causes Tingling And Numbness In Hands During Morning?

Hi Dr. Grief , I am tapering off Lorazapan 1mg after a month use for a bout of anxiety for the first time in my life. I was also suffering from insomnia. I have tapered off as advised by reducing the dosage too .5mg missing a night and then .25mg. For the past 4 nights I have been sleeping reasonably well. The downside my blood pressure went up so my Dr. put me on Prendil 5mg-- to control the high b.p. in the mornings by mid morning the b.p. has dropped and by mid afternoon it is at an acceptable level 138/83. my question is I wake up with tingling and numbness in both arms and fingers but goes away soon after I wake up.. Is this associated with the nervous system because I am coming off the LORAZEPAN or more related to my new b.p. medication [been taking for 7 days.] I am a 67 year old male and reasonable fit.. Thanks ROGER BROWN.

this is not due to medication. first of all you to for random blood sugar for diabetes. you should also go for nerve conduction stidies for tingling.
