What Causes Tingling And Numbness From Hip To Knee?

I had a vasectomy yesterday. All seems fine and have limited pain, but I have some tingling and numbness from my hip down to just above my knee on both sides. I am normally not one who lies on back for extended periods so am assuming I pinched a nerve, but have been up for a couple of hours and it doesn't seem to be getting much better. Do you have any recommendations?

Hi,

I understand your concern and would agree with you in the fact that your symptoms could be related to a pinched nerve. But this is a short time to notice signs of improvement. I would recommend performing some physical activity (stretching, yoga, walking). If your symptoms do not improve in the next days, you should consult with your doctor and perform a nerve conduction study.

Hope to have been helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
