General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the tingling and electric shock like feeling in arm and wrist do indicate underlying significant pathology at or above the wrist level of arm. The usual cause is involvement of ulnar or median nerve via compression at flexor retinaculum or above level. The same can happen in Carpal tunnel syndrome or other neurological conditions. A primary evaluation with expert orthopedic surgeon is must who may guide about requirement of an MRI in your case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
