What Causes Tingling, Aching And Numb Sensation In Legs?
My legs have been aching for months, sometimes they are tingling numbing sensations and other time stiff. I cant find anything that makes it better let alone go away. Its driving me crazy. its the backs of my legs mid thigh and down. feet feel numb also. thank you for any ideas you have
Numbness and other abnormal sensations in the legs may be related to peripheral neuropathy. This refers to abnormal function or structure of the peripheral nerves Can be due to different causes such as: (1)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (2)diabetes (3)liver or kidney disease (4)trauma (5)infection (6)exposure to toxins (7)medication side effect (8)hormonal or autoimmune diseases
To find out the cause, your doctor can do blood tests for vitamin levels, check the liver and kidney, rule out diabetes and infection, check for hormonal conditions. Can also check any medications that you are using that may be contributing.
There are medications that can help.
I hope this helps
