Hello there, 27 year old male here. I had a sinus infection a few weeks ago, which I seemed to recover from pretty quickly, but a few days after I got over it, I started experiencing other symptoms that might or might not be related. I had a tight feeling in my throat, which was accompanied by occasional soreness in my lower throat, near the vocal cord area. After about a week of that, the tightness and soreness have subsided quite a bit, but still resurface two or three times a day. Now, the actual muscles in my neck ache on and off, similar to the feeling of an arm or leg muscle that has been overused. Also, I have had several occasions where I became extremely dizzy/felt faint/about to pass out since I have had the weird feeling in my throat. I have noticed that I feel a post nasal drip type feeling at various points throughout the day, and seem to be producing a lot of mucus, but I do not have congestion or a runny nose. I also have been needing to urinate extremely frequently, and have been trying to stay hydrated as a result. It should be noted that I have been working on quitting smoking cigarettes, and have almost completely stopped smoking over the last month or so. I do use an electronic cigarette with a very low dose of nicottene to help curb my habit. I also have had a history of multiple cases of sinusitis and strep throat, but have never experienced something like this before. Thanks for taking the time to read my long question, I plan to make a Dr. appointment soon if this doesn t go away, but I only recently received health insurance and don t even have a primary care doctor in my area, so it may take me some time to get that set up first.
