What Causes Tightness And Cramping Sensation In Abdomen?
I m an RN so I m searching for a reason this happens. Sometimes, and not often, I get this tightness and cramping sensation in my abdomen, triggered when I bend forward. I have to straighten out and walk around to rid of this sensation. It s not a pain I m feeling but almost a twisted feeling. My PCP thinks it may be spasms and has something to do with a Vit D deficiency. A nurse friend at work says she feels the same thing at times and her MD told her it s probably scar tissue from when she had a C-section. But I have not had any surgeries other than a tubal ligation. What could this be?

Just by symptom we cannot guess what organ is affected in the abdomen. You dint clarify in the abdomen exactly where you are feeling,upper and lower right or left quadrant. Definetely something wrong has happened.Tightness is due to contraction of the abdominal muscle which is protecting the area.cramp sensation is due to contraction of the inside viscera. Just take simple Abdominal scan . By which you will come to know the reason. Then take advice from the surgeon for further treatement
