Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tight Sensation On The Arch Of The Feet?
Ok, here’s my issue. I get a tightness, a sort of tearing/pulling feeling (like stretching a sore muscle but a little more), in the arch of my feet after I either: walk for an extended period of time, or run a few hours. I wouldn’t describe it as painful; it is almost as if my arch feels sore.
It can be an early sign of conditions like plantar fasciitis. As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Diclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
