Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, Im a 26y caucasian F. About an hour and a half ago, I started to feel a tight sensation in my thigh. It does not hurt and is not swollen or discolored. I feel it whether I am walking, sitting or lying down. I checked my temperature and its slowly increasing and is now at 100.1. I took 2 naproxen about an hour ago. Im just concerned and wondering if this warrants an ER visit or if I should wait and see my MD unless symptoms increase. I am on birth control- Levora, so I am worried about blood clots. Thoughts?
I have studied your case. Your symptoms suggest possibility of Deep vein thrombosis.
Ultrasonography/colour Doppler leg will help to rule pathology leading to like deep vein thrombosis. Consulting your doctor infection /cellulitis can be ruled out; antibiotic can be started according to examination.
If required you may need to do blood investigation for prognosis and recovery.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
