What Causes Tight Sensation In The Chest Along With Dizziness And Nausea?

I have tightening in m chest which radiates to my shoulder blade and rib cage, fatigue and I am very lightheaded and nauseated. I feel pressure under my sternum and feel full not wanting to eat much. My blood pressure tends to run high even with BP meds. Dr. says it is not cardiac related and is not sure what is causing it.

Hi,

This is due to acid reflux disease most probably as a cardiac problem has been ruled out. Acid reflux disease can cause sternal pain which radiates to neck, shoulder, back and the patient can feel nauseated.

All you need to do is to have dietary modification like:
- Avoid citrus foods, reduce consumption of coffee, take light meals particularly before sleep.
- If you are a smoker then quit it otherwise nothing will help.
- You also try Pantoprazole.

Hopefully, you will recover. However, in case, symptoms continue you need to get examined further by a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
