What Causes Tight Sensation Around The Chest And Neck Strain?

About 4 hours ago i started feeling a weird tightness across my chest....above my breasts. I went home and laid down for about 20 min and it seemed to be ok but moving to the back of my neck and left shoulder. I am feeling ok - not sick - left side of my neck feels like it was strained. This feeling came on about an hour and half ago.

Hi,

You might be having a heart related pain especially because your pain extends to the neck and left shoulder.
Trinitrin tablets under the tongue are the treatment you could have at home and meanwhile it is safer for you to see your doctor as soon as possible and have a good examination and an ECG done. If the doctor is highly suspecting a heart related chest pain he might also ask for some blood tests called troponin level and a chest xray.
After the results of these tests the doctor will better know the cause of the pain and needed treatment.
