I am 40 years old male. An hour ago when I swallowed saliva a cracking sound came from my throat and felt sudden pain. Since then pain is increasing and its becoming hard to talk or swallow even saliva or water. Please tell if it is anything serious and what should I do to get relief.
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. The throat pain can be because of the bacterial infection or it can be secondary to erosion caused by food. Nothing to be panic, consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while can take a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin (if you are not allergic ). For pain you can take an analgesic like Ibuprofen. Do saline gargling. I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
