I was at popeyes today. It's a fast food restaurant if you don't know. After I ate the spicy shrimp and chicken for the first time in months, i took a drink and my throat was hurting. A different kind of hurt from sore throat or a regular strep throat.
^ That was eight hours ago.
Right now: - the back top of my throat feels spicy. - It's not itchy. - It feels as though there's a lump inside there when I drink/swallow.. - It's 'a little more difficult to breath. - The left side bottom side of my chest sometimes hurts a little tiny bit when i swallow. - That same chest area simultaneously hurts with my throat when i laugh. - It may be lessening a bit.
Wondering what it may be? And what should I do?
Go to the ER? Wait until morning tomorrow morning to see if I'm still experiencing it?
hello, thanks for your query, huge stuff( pani puri) , spicy foods, adulterated oil fried items can cause small injury while swallowing , can cause tiny mucosal ulcers, after 6-8 hours it turns to to pharyngitis( pharynx- part of throat ). u should chew properly, avoid adulterated fried road eataries, spicy foods.u can do simple salt water gargling.in persistent case u need to see an ent surgeon. hope I have answered ur query, all d best. take care.
