What Causes Throat Infection?

Hi about 2 weeks ago I developed a fever and a sore throat. As I have a history with step I started a antibiotic. I have gone though all my amoxicillin and then got put on cephalixin I am about to finish that and I still have pus on my tonsils and a very little sore throat. What could possibly be going on it's been about 2 weeks total

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The pus discharge can be because of the peritonsillar abscess, it can be secondary to anaerobic bacterial infection. Nothing to be panic, if i am your treating doctor, i would have suggested you to take a course of antibiotics like combination of amoxicillin and metronidazole which is most effective in case of abscess. Do saline gargling.
