I cough up clear mucous all day and in the morning my head is full and I have extremely thick mucous in my throat in the morning so thick I can hardly spit it out very sticky . It takes about 30 to 45 minutes in the morning to get it out. I have an endoscopy and seen a ENT they are not finding any reason for it.. Any suggestions
As per your query you have thick mucus in your throat specially in the morning . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to acid reflux or hypo salivation due to oral infection or upper respiratory track infection . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order endoscopy of upper digestive track and ambulatory acidity test along with digestive track x-track . Doctor may prescribe ranitidine or omeprazole and medicines to reliese of saliva . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist . For now avoid eating spicy and heavy food and keep you head elevated while sleeping .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
