What Causes The Body To Be Hot To Touch?

I am 57 and have already went through menopause. I have alot of body heat, my hands are really hot to the touch. Sometimes I feel like I am going to burst into flames. My whole body is hot to the touch. My husband says I am like a heat pad. What is this condition called? I am 6 ft. 280 lbs, this has been going on for years. I have high blood pressure, which I take medicine for and chronic pain.

Hi..hot flushes are commonly experienced during menopause. If you have not mensturated in the last 12 months then you are said to be in the post menopausal period. But if you have mensturated several times although irregularly in the last few months then you are still in the menopausal period which explains your symptoms. However increased metabolism in the body can also cause raise in the body temperature which can occur in hyperthyroidism. Hence your are advised to check your thyroid hormone levels if your are in post menopausal peroid with the above symptoms.
