What Causes Testicular Torsion In A Person With Bell Clapper Deformity?

Is it possible for those of us with the bell clapper deformity that if we lift weights, we could get testicular torsion? There was this period a year ago where I would receive this odd pulsating pain on my left testicle after exercise such as running, lifting weights, doing push-ups, etc which lasted for like a week everyday (it used to get triggered even after the slightest exercise such as walking for 10-15 minutes). Ever since then I am afraid to exercise and/or lift. Went to my personal doctor and he said it wasn t cancer, it wasn t hernia, and that basically I shouldn t worry about it but just rest for a month or two. Could it have been temporary torsion where the coord kept twisting and untwisting itself?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The bell clapper deformity is highly suspicious of possible testicular torsion due to inherent mechanics of altered physics. However, a color Doppler report of the testicular blood supply would be best measure to indicate the current scenario of the issue and further guidelines accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
