What Causes Terrible, Unexplained Itchy Skin When Diagnosed With Hyperthyroidism?

Hi, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and graves 7 years ago. On meds first few years, then perfect and in remission, on no meds for past few years. Been experiencing terrible, unexplained itchy skin, went to docs today, thyroid blood tests and low and behold, 0.02 tsh. I am so upset. Always confused. Am I now hypo? They want me to see endo of course but in meantime, can you help me. Also my eyes are burning. Thank you Marcia

hello,
welcome to HCM.
as your TSH is low it seems that you have a hyperthyroid situation.but you need to tell me the T3 and t4 results.this skin and eye symptoms are very common in hyperthyroid.dont panic.
consult your endocrinologist as soon as possible with reports.
in the meantime you can take tablet alprazolam and propranolol.that will be helpful.
