General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
l have read your question and understand your concern.
In my opinion, the soft swelling you are seeing on your baby's head is called caput succedaneum which usually occurs after prolonged or difficult labor due to prolonged pressure from dilated cervical and vaginal walls. It is harmless and should disappear within few days.
Hope this answer would satisfy you.

Thanks
