What Causes Tenderness In The Breast While On Estradiol Transdermal Patch?
I have been on a transdermal Estradiol patch for around 2 years. Lately I have been experiencing tenderness in my breast just like I used have before each menstrual cycle. What could that mean? Do you think I could no longer be in menopause and not need the patch any longer. My yearly isn t due until the end of October. Should I try and move it up?
Using estradiol patch can cause sore breast. Apply ice and wear supportive bra to help with the pain. However, when on estradiol there is a risk of development of breast malignancy. So please be advised to follow up with a gynecologist/ primary care provider to undergo a clinical breast examination and mammography.
