What Causes Taste Of Soap In Mucous?

Hello there!

So I'm a tad skeptical of this website as I've just found it on google and figured I could give it a shot.

I've been persistently coughing for the past 4 days, I had a sinus infection(elasticized yellow discharge from my sinuses) and am now in the recovery period of what seemed to be a terrible chest cold. I've also recently almost completely stopped smoking, and though my sinus issues are gone, I am now constantly coughing up black phlegm. Among the black phlegm, today after a coughing fit my throat tastes of soap. Something in my mucous resembles soap in taste and it's confusing me.

If you could shed any light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Adrian.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, it appears that you you have either the allergic or viral infection, and spread of the infection to the lungs.
I advise you to consult a chest physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms amoxycilli, clavulinic acid, phenylephrine, citrizine.
Avoid taking fruits, juices, ice cream, ice water, etc.
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
