Systemic sclerosis is an autoimmune disease characterized by sclerosis or fibrosis of different organs.
It is chronic disease with waxing and waning course.
Treatment depends on severity of symptoms and is individualizes according to symptoms.
Pulse therapy is an intermittent therapy wherein drugs are given in intermittent fashion.
Drugs used for systemic sclerosis are steroids since the disease is autoimmune.
