What Causes Swooshing Sound While Yawning?

When I yawn, I hear a sort of swooshing, or rushing sound (like air being blown) in my ear. A day previously my ear was itching a lot in the canal. I may have scratched it in my sleep. Now it doesn t itch, but there s this noise and a feeling of pressure.

Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic,

I am Dr.Snis Khan,

I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.

Well, actually the pressure inside our ear canals is maintained by endolymph,a fluid created inside the endolymphatic channels.sometimes there is disturbance of fluids inside these canals so due to which u may feel noisy or whistling sounds...I suggest u to take good rest few days ,reduce ur exercise activities as jumping,skipping.. If it doesn't work then please feel free to contact again.

I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.

Wish you the best of health.

Regards.
