General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
What you most probably have is a cold sore/Epstein barr virus virus infection also called as kissing disease.
It presents like a cold but with more drawn out symptoms and prolonged tiredness, headache, body ache and swollen tonsils. It is not due to oral sex but more due to exchange of saliva while kissing. Its treatment is to have analgesics like tylenol to counter the headache and body pain and it resolves on its own. It is not an STD and you do not have to worry.

Hope this helps,
Please feel free to address any further queries to me, I would gladly answer them,
