What Causes Swollen Optic Nerve And Headache?

For the past year and half I ve had headaches, whooshing sounds in both ears, temporary blindness in when eye after bending over, quick moments of spinning/dizziness, and nausea. Went to eye dr and optic nerves were swollen. Neurologist has ordered MRI mrv, and blood work all were normal. A lumbar puncture was done and pressure was on low range of normal,12. So this rules out tumor, psuedotumor, autoimmune diseases, infections and blockage. Neuro is about to pass me back to optholmolgist cause she says their isn t anything wrong neurologically. I feel like she is wrong. There is something going on just not sure what is causing all this. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of swelling of optic nerve with transient visual disturbances and headache might be in relation with underlying auto immune disorder as multiple sclerosis or else most likely. Kindly share your all previous reports available with you for my detailed evaluation and further guidelines. I do not agree with clean chit report of your neurologist with such precise symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
