What Causes Swollen Neck And Collar Bone With Painful Hands After Injury?
Hi I was in a rear-end accident september 2014, 10 mnths later hurting worse. I am swollen around neck and collar bone. I have a hard time laying down to sleep. My last two fingers on both hands are hurting and going numb off and on. My shoulders are hurting like stinging pain. ..also down my right arm. I have had the injections in neck and did not help whatsoever...
Based on the history you have shared, you are having nerve entrapment in the cervical region and the cause is accidental injury or compression. You are having pain and symptoms because of this compression. I would recommend you to get appointment from a doctor and get MRI cervical spine done. Some level of relieve will be given by steroids injections but might need surgery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
