What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck And Canker Sores On Tongue?

I woke up on Monday with one canker sore on my tongue. Yesterday, I had a few more small canker sores. Today, I have sore gums around my wisdom teeth. I have been rinsing with warm salt water and watching what I eat. I didn't eat anything unusual lately or over due on acidic foods. I never ever get canker sores. Tonight, I noticed that my glands in my neck are a little swollen. When a consulted a pharmacist he said that it probably wasn't a virus. What do you think?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms seems to be that of Pericoronitis that is inflammation of gum flap over the wisdom tooth and swollen lymph nodes and Apthous Ulcers or Canker Sores are due to it..
I would suggest you to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and also an X ray of the wisdom tooth..
In case if tooth is erupting well antibiotics, painkillers and warm saline gargles can help in relieving..
In case of recurring episodes of same problem removal of gum flap is advisable..
In case if wisdom tooth is impacted and will not erupt completely extraction of tooth is advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
