What Causes Swollen Lymph Node And Yellow Patch On Skin After Wisdom Tooth Removal?
I recently (last friday) had a wisdom tooth (lower) removed and it subsequently got infected. I had a lot of swelling and pain in the lymph node below it. I took 5 days of antibiotics and finished that yesterday. Today, further down, on the upper part of my chest directly below the lymph node, I noticed a yellowish patch of skin. Not flake, dry or painful in any way. Just makes me wonder if it has something to do with the infection?lame that this is a scam for money
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain yellowish patch that is completely assymptomatic does not seems to be related to the infection in the extraction socket and can be a mild discoloration caused due to post inflammatory hypopigmentation caused due to any past injury or infection in that area.
You can very well continue the treatment given to you for tooth infection as it does not seems to be the cause for the yellow patch.. In case if there is any pain or flakiness in the patch consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
