What Causes Swollen Gland In Throat While Suffering From Tooth Infection?
I had a tooth infection on the right side from 2014 - 2015. I experienced swelling in the gland on the opposite side - in my throat during this time. The tooth was removed about five months ago but I still experience some swelling. Is this irregular? I have no other symptoms
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that if the swelling in throat was due to tooth infection then it would be on the same side as that of tooth and might have subsided after extraction of tooth.. But if it is still present it could be due to other car like chronic throat infection, acid Reflux, Sinusitis, post nasal drip etc.. Consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated.. As of now do warm saline gargles.. Take Ibuprofen if there is pain..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
