What Causes Swollen Earlobes?

My cheek in front and at the bottom of my ear lobe is swollen. 5 days now, I feel it is food related, sweets. I have felt this tingle before but never swollen and will not go down. It has at times hurt but if I drank water to equal out the sweetness it is always better. I noticed my grandmother touching her cheek as a child but never knew why? Now I know that it hurts... Hello and welcome to HCM,
Swelling in front and bottom of the ear lobe is the site of parotid salivary gland, .
Infection or inflammation of salivary gland can cause swelling of the region which is more pronounced while eating.
As you have mentioned that the swelling is food related this swelling is clinically suspicious of infectious or inflammatory condition.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus prescription of antibiotics in case the lesion is found to be infectious in nature.
