I am a 49 year old woman who has had 4 children. The past month I have been noticing swelling in my abdomen sometimes so badly that I had terrible pressure under my ribs just like when I was full term pregnant. I have also been having trouble with a quick sharp pain that comes and goes in the right side of my abdomen about 4 fingers to the right of my belly button just under my ribs. Always the same place. I have had blood work, a gall bladder ultrasound,ct scan with both kind of contrast, nothing has shown on any of this. Some days that are really bad,I even get nauseous and the pain happens every 10 minutes or so. Other days it only happens about 15 times thru the day. I have logged when it happens and what I eat and they don t seem to be related. I have noticed, it happens most often if I have Sat down quickly, our turned our bent down. I hope you can give me a direction to go now as I currently feel like it is all in my mind when I know it isn t.
