What Causes Swelling On The Left Side Of Jaw Post Food Intake?
I ate a sandwich by the time I ate it and put things away. I isuddenly had a swelling on the left side of my jaw and to the mid ear very, very noticeable. It doesn't hurt, like when I had a stint put in a little over two years ago. I could just feel the swelling when it reach my ear. Still no pain just swollen.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swelling on the jaw after having food that is painless seems like blocked duct of the salivary gland with any foreign body or food particles while can also be due to blockage with Crystalline stones that are formed in the duct of the Salivary Gland with the minerals present in saliva.. I would suggest you to as of now suck tart candies and chew sugar free chewing gum.. Drink plenty of water.. In case I'd the swelling does not improve or recurs consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. Manual removal of superficial stones or surgical removal of deep obstruction can be done..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
