What Causes Swelling On The Left Foot And Ankle?
im 49 years old and i have swelling ankle end of the day , im office workers sitting 8 hours a day for 5 days, i have lower back pain too may be because of the workout three days a week for the past 5 years. so my question is why is my left feet ankle swollen at the end of the day? thank you for your help

unilateral edema
as there two kinds of swelling either bilateral or unilaterl in your case it may be if pain and redness it indicate DVT or inflamation like cellulitis or insect bite(blister favour bite),immobility.
when we press the swelling some time it pits some time not indicating either pitting or non pitting edema.
fever also favour cellulitis,leg is warm on swelling site.
FBC,D.dimers,color doppler later on required for DVT.
so proper workout and consultation requoted for prompt diagnosis and treatment.
